Designing a Distributed Collaboration Playbook for Seagen

Seagen, then a fast-growing biotech later acquired by Pfizer, needed to teach its distributed teams how to collaborate effectively as the company scaled across multiple locations.
I partnered with Duarte's content specialists to design the playbook as a Slidedoc, a hybrid format combining the visual clarity of a presentation with the depth of a written guide so employees could navigate it at their own pace. The format gave Seagen an evergreen internal resource the team could update without a designer in the room.

Creative & Content Strategy

Designed in PPT with system fonts for easy updating by the client.

Deployed as PDF to avoid accidental edits by readers.

Refreshed and expanded upon their brand colors for illustrations and navigation.

Adapted affordable, simple stock illustrations into custom creations to keep budget low.

Implemented hyperlinks to limit the amount of content per slide and for navigation.

Before & After

We refined the text, extracted key elements into a sidebar, and accentuated critical details to make the page faster to read and easier to retain.

“I really like how the playbook turned out, I like the format and would like to see it used for other playbook efforts.”
